The trendy-looking plant that NASA says could cure snoring

Sharing your bed (or an adjoining room) with a snorer can be a living nightmare, but NASA may have an easy solution in the form of a plant.

They say the pineapple plant could be a potential cure for chronic snoring.

The information has come from UK supermarket chain ASDA, who are currently selling the indoor pineapple plant for $21.

According to NASA studies, pineapple plants produce oxygen and improve air quality throughout the night and therefore, aid better (and quieter) sleep. 

In Australia, frequent, loud snoring is reported by 24% of men and 17% of women. And of those nose whistlers, 70% say that it affects their daily life during waking hours.

The trendy pineapple plant doesn’t cost a fortune and would look good in any home’s interior, adding a tropical aesthetic in time for summer, so it’s worth a shot.

Long smooth leaves fan out from the base of the plant, with a stalk emerging from the middle bearing the cutest mini pineapple.
