With property becoming more expensive and city living for Australian's looking like it might enter into the minuscule square-metreage of NYC and Paris, Spanish firm PKMN Architectures have offered us a decent look at how a super flexible apartments might actually function in the future.

This 69-square-metre studio has been transformed into a vacation home for a couple wanting an adaptable home which could accommodate family and friends when needed.

The solution involves multiple large movable walls which act as both space dividers and as fold-down beds and shelves.

This allows for a configuration of two bedrooms, one bedroom or no bedrooms (at this stage the living area opens up to 50 square metres).

The rotating walls and furniture can be moved around within minutes.

This idea of shuffling your room around might not be for everyone; however Swedish giant Ikea obviously think it's an untapped market since they're reportedly developing movable walls and sliding power sockets (set to launch in the next three years).
