Robby and Mat considered it a miracle that they managed to finish their living and dining room on time.

The best mates found themselves racing the clock as the week came to an end – but after a moral boosting visit from Robby's partner and baby, they powered through to get it done.

They anticipated the judges seeing a lot of 'wow factor' in the room – were they right?

Robby and Mat's week had already been very successful ahead of judging, after winning the Comedy Roast Challenge AND the pickleball tournament.

With almost $110,000 worth of prizes (and Dayle S. Ford) under their belt, they hoped to continue the winning streak at the Room Reveal.

Speaking of money, they spent just a touch above Scott Cam's recommended $20,000 budget this week; $21,225.

Their hunch about the judges being surprised by the sheer size of the space proved true, as the trio immediately reacted to the huge floorplan.

"Woah! How is this the same dimensions as the house that we've just left?" Marty reacted.

"This is exactly hitting the brief."

Shaynna agreed, and was blown away by how much they had 'got right'.

"The flooring [is] absolutely divine, the sheers are gorgeous..." she began.

"The roof line is just beautiful, it suits it so much and those beautiful pendants are just absolutely stunning," she continued.

The skylights!

He said the sun and light coming through them was "absolute perfection".

In fact, it had him feeling very unusual.

"I'm blown away, I'm speechless which is pretty hard to do with me."

The judges had been very critical of the teams' layouts this week, but here they felt Robby and Mat had nailed it.

Darren praised the allocation of space, allowing spaces for conversation as well as interaction with the view and backard.

"The layout is perfect," he paised.

Shaynna felt the same.

Where so many teams have failed in their planning this week, this room was a planning success.

Of course, it wasn't all perfect.

Shaynna would've prefered a more sandy-coloured wall paint.

"It's so bright, just to bring down the warmth of it. It's not engaging my heart and my soul," she explained.

Robby and Mat commissioned an artwork from their friend, Adelaide-based Alyawarre artist Jade Torres.

Inspired by Daylesford landscape photos the boys shared with her, Jade hand delivered the large piece to site.

Isn't it stunning?

The judges thought so – although Shaynna did think it'd look better on a sand-coloured wall!
