Lisa Wilkinson shares all too familiar laundry experiment

This will be an all too familiar sight for some mums…

Lisa Wilkinson took to Instagram over the weekend to share a snap of a veritable mountain of colourful clothing, but despite appearances, it wasn’t a recent Marie Kondo cull.

No, the mum-of-three and wife-of-one explained that she had been running an experiment: one that involved shirking laundry duty.

“So I tried this experiment,” Lisa wrote.

“Ignore the family washing for a few weeks, and see if the clothes wash themselves. “And bugger me, if they bloody didn’t!”

The metre-high pile of clothes currently sit outside Lisa’s laundry, just waiting to be magically washed, dried and folded. All to no avail…

Lisa also included a pic of her (gorgeous) boxer, Maggie, who is perched on her doggie bed with a very perplexed look on her face.

“Swipe right and you’ll see that Maggie has given up (that’s her bed she’s placed herself on)… and she is juuust a little bit disgusted,” Lisa wrote.

It’s not the first time Lisa has posted about the state of her washing. Earlier in the year she shared this hilarious insight into her laundry room (and marriage).

We must say, summer holidays are a risky time to experiment with dirty clothes given the potential for extra stank, but props to Lisa for having a break (and a laugh).
