In an off-market deal, a knockdown-rebuild home on the Rose Bay waterfrornt has sold for $30 million, according to Domain.

The prized double block, features a harbourfront tennis court and its own jetty.

The property was part of the estate of Sonja Lyneham, a well-know urban development expert who passed away earlier this year.

With over 1100-square-metres of land to play with, it's been reported the existing building will be knocked down to make way for a new luxury home.

It's the second highest recorded sale in the area. The highest was a $33 million home sold in 2013 to billionaire Brett Blundy. Last year Blundy listed the home for $45 million. It remains on the market under private treaty.
