Looking back at the judges' most memorable reactions of The Block 2022
Over 12 weeks of The Block, judges Shaynna Blaze, Neale Whitaker and Darren Palmer have given their very honest reviews of over 60 spaces produced by the contestants.
Some rooms evoked an extra level of enthusiasm from the trio, giving rise to all kinds of excitable sound effects.

In other cases, the judges did their best to deliver bad news and often things were so bad they had no choice but to say exactly what was on their mind.

Darren always did his best to find the silver lining in every room. He even managed to do that when he spotted the botched paint job in Ankur and Sharon's walk-in robe.
"Ankur and Sharon's painting gets better each week, so by the end of it we might actually have a well painted room," he said.
While Darren always looked for positives, Shaynna never held back.

Darren always had something nice to say about the Blockheads' rooms. Nine
In House 3's hallway she didn't hesitate to voice her brutally honest opinion.
"This is horrible," she said bluntly.
Shaynna gestured towards the jaguar lamps and it was clear she did not like them.
"What are those? They're disgusting!" she said.
"This feels like the hallway of a bar and you're going into a themed restaurant."

Once Rachel and Ryan were successful Shaynna was their biggest supporter. Nine
But once a team finally took her feedback on board, Shaynna would be the first judge to jump for joy.
"Yess! They've done it," she let off a fangirl scream in Rachel and Ryan's living room.
After weeks of criticising Rachel and Ryan for presenting rooms with no personality, Shaynna was elated to see them nail the brief.
