Jesse and Mel hint at family plans after Block auction

As The Block draws to a close each home is going under the hammer and for real estate agent Jesse it meant sitting on the couch as someone else took over.

He and partner Mel watched on with host Scott Cam and despite taking a back seat they're pretty happy with what happened.

"It's pretty normal in an auction to have a sort of half time intermission, so I liked it, we got to say hello to people," Jesse admitted.

"I was happy!" Mel added.

"We could have stopped then, money is money and we did more than what in 14 weeks you don't earn that much, so we are thrilled."

"We're ecstatic, we could not be happier with the result," Jesse agreed.

And when 9Entertainment asked the couple what was next for them, they answered in the only way we expected them to.

"Make more money, what we do best!" Mel said.

"Keep going, back to work, back to everyday life… some other ventures coming up, we'll see what happens," Jesse added, keeping his cards close to his chest.

And what are their plans with their winnings?

"We'd love to buy a house together, wouldn't we?" Jesse asked Mel

"Yep, definitely going to go for a house, a proper home," she responded.

The couple confirmed that there is definitely a new house, and even the start of a family in the near future for them, and we can't wait to see their futures unfold after The Block.

"Get started on that family," Mel said cheekily as she turned to Jesse.
