IKEA opens doors to stray dogs seeking shelter from rain

The mega furniture retailer is warming cold paws (and hearts) by allowing stray dogs in Catania, Italy, to sleep inside their show rooms during the frosty winter months.

In a video uploaded to Facebook by Vittoria Taccia Gabrielli, a couple of pooches can be seen happily snoozing and relaxing on IKEArugs set among living room setups.

"A nice initiative to give shelter to strays while it’s raining outside," Vittoria wrote on her post. Watch the video above to see the doggos curled up in IKEA.

The adorable video has been viewed more than a million times, and prompted chat of more stores following IKEA’s lead.

"I wish more retailers would do this worldwide," wrote one commentator.
