Iconic house from 'The Castle' is on the move

It’s not a house, it's a home. A man's home is his castle and this castle is on the move.
That’s right, the actual house used in cult classic The Castle located at 3 Highview Crescent, Coollaroo (which is actually 3 Dagonet Street, Strathmore) is currently making its way to a new address.

I hope this doesn't ruin your serenity, but in order to move the iconic home, it had to be sliced in pieces and have the roof removed. But don't worry, the house – including the pool room – will be good as new when they reconstruct it.
The Kerrigan house isn't heading to Bonnie Doon, either, but to Beechworth – about 300km northeast of its former address.
After being sliced into four parts, each one was wrapped in tarp and plastic and then carted off on a convoy of trucks to be relocated to its new Beechwood home, where the owners reside.
George Fendyk and Geoffrey Lucas purchased the house alone in July for just $40K and plan to make it a tourist attraction at a caravan park they are planning to build. Mayday Hills Lunatic Asylum was previously on the property.
Mr Fendyk told realestate.com.au that the move would cost about $70K.
