Mum's genius laundry hack stops annoying problem and speeds up drying

When the weather is miserable or you need something dry in a hurry, the tumble dryer is easily the most appreciated appliance.
Of course, it's convenient throwing your bedding in the dryer — it often comes out so nice and soft — but it can also become a tangled mess at the same time.
Thankfully, one mum has a genius tip to stop things balling up in the dryer and the bonus is, it'll actually speed up the drying time too.
A mum has shared tips for stopping tangles in your laundry. Instagram
All you need is a couple of tennis balls, which you can pick up for just a few dollars at the supermarket or discount store.
"How to prevent tangles in the Dryer. Anyone for a spot of tennis? Liz, who goes by the handle @liz.amaya.style on Instagram, captioned the video.

It's a really simple hack that'll save you the stress of tangled sheets when you've put a load of washing through the dryer.
Her first tip is to not overload the dryer, instead everything should be kept loose and free to move around. This might mean splitting up what you're putting in the dryer, and doing separate loads to keep things under control.
Tennis balls will fluff things up, help reduce wrinkles and tangles. Instagram
Next Liz held up two regular tennis balls and threw them into the appliance.
"Besides reducing wrinkles and fluffing towels, tennis balls allow air to circulate in the dryer speeding up the drying time whilst helping to separate twists and folds in the fabric," read the text over the clip.

It may seem a bit silly, but it really works and will help annoying problems like patches of your quilt cover coming out of the dryer still wet because it's been tied up in the appliance.
Liz's followers love the clever hack, with plenty inspired to give it a go themselves now.
"This is so smart!" commented one.
Another wrote, "Such a great idea. Thanks for the tip!"

"Wow, will definitely be giving this a go. Life changing lol," added another.
One follower suggested an alternative option and commented, "Wool dryer balls with essential oils on them… amazing."
Anything that makes household chores like laundry easier is one we're keen to give it a go.
