After failing to finish last week and with a dwindling budget, Han and Can were desperate for a win.

Their strategy was to put all their eggs into winning this week, with a seriously bold back of house plan.

The garage in particular was Han's passion project and they spared no expense bringing her vision to life!

The judges had, of course, just come from Emma and Ben's space in House 1 and walking into Han and Can's space was a breath of fresh air.

"See, this is the area that Emma and Ben missed out on utilising," Marty reacted as the trio entered.

While their neighbours had not added anything to the entrance walls, Han and Can used it as an extension of the kitchen.

"We've taken four steps from the kitchen and now we've got the coffee machine, another sink... more bins, dishwasher!"

The tiled pattern floors were deemed "stunning".

"I love it," Shaynna said.

While she was famously not a huge fan of House 2's kitchen, she felt differently here!

"Shaynna said this place has even more energy than the kitchen did," host Scott Cam read out.

The Dekton Taga stone they used for their bench tops had Shaynna very excited.

"This has got so much beautiful texture to it, lots of colour, richness and goes perfectly with the floor," she praised.

"It's very ooh la la, isn't it?" Marty replied.

Their styling impressed even Scotty!

"They love lollies, these girls!" Shaynna reacted to the jars on the shelves.

"I liked all those, I had a musk stick," Scotty told the girls back at HQ.

"And I had one of those choccys in there as well!"

Can was quick to fire back: "That'll be $10k!"

If only it was that easy.

Darren had a lot of praise for the functionality of the room.

"They haven't burned this floor space for no reason, it's not just the walkway, it's a visual and functional connection to the kitchen.

"The fact that we've got the kettle and the coffee machine and they match and they've got all that lovely gold detail, it's really nicely considered."

The only critique Marty had was the lack of fridge, which he hoped they'd add ahead of their campaign.

The laundry was separated from the pantry by an arch.

This is House 2, after all!

"How nice is the delineation between [the rooms]?, you know that that's the laundry, you know that this is the butler's," he said.

Yep, a clever move, but not their only one...

Han and Can altered the floor plan to swap the original window in this room for a door straight outside.

"House 1 didn't have a door straight out from the laundry, which I think I didn't even think about that," Shaynna said as she noticed that.

Scotty agreed it was "a good idea", allowing buyers to take their washing straight out without having to walk through the pantry to another exit.

The space felt very "luxe" thanks to its colour palette.

But it didn't just look expensive, it also did exactly what it needed to.

"This laundry is exactly what you want for a working laundry in a family home, lots of storage, you've got all the bench space that you could want and hanging as well," Darren said.

Darren pointed out how incredible their choice of David Bowie artwork was.

"What a lovely way to welcome people into your house!"

His colleagues definitely agreed.

"That's amazing!" Shaynna gasped.
