Gaudi's extraordinary first home opens to the public

Renowned Spanish architect Antoni Gaudi created Barcelona's best known tourist attraction, La Sagrada Familia cathedral.

Now the first house he ever built is opening to the public as a museum.

Casa Vicens was commissioned by Manuel Vicens i Montaner, the owner of a brick factory, in 1883. It's now Unesco World Heritage-listed and has undergone a painstaking three-year restoration process.
