Exclusive: Watch the Blockheads take part in a hilarious mechanical bull riding challenge on The Block 2023

There's nothing quite like a birthday surprise.

And as Ash celebrated his Block birthday, special guests Dylan and Jenny revealed a surprise that no one saw coming – a mechanical bull riding challenge.

Whoever could stay on the mechanical bull for the longest amount of time would take home $1,000.

As each Blockhead rode the bull, it was clear that some contestants had more balance and coordination than others.

You can watch how they all faired in the exclusive video above.

The rules were clear; one hand on the steer, one hand behind your back and ride for as long as possible.

Eliza struggled to mount the bull while it was still let alone stay on for the ride.

"I've got no upper body strength," she admitted.

With that admission it was no surprise that Eliza only managed to stay on for a total of four seconds.

Some of the other contestants manage to stay on for a little longer with birthday boy Ash channeling his inner cowboy to stay on for 17 seconds.
