Dior launches first home collection

Christian Dior's love of interiors and homewares was well documented over his life, so it was only a matter of time before the luxury brand made its way into homewares.
Channelling Monsieur Dior's love of decorating and gardening, the fashion house has launched their first home collection this week at the couture label's new flagship superstore in London.
The new four-storey store, which is set to open to the public today, has been designed by celebrated architect Peter Marino, who has designed Dior Rodeo Drive, Dior Soho and Bulgari Rome. It has been modelled on a Parisian "hotel particulier" (a French townhouse), with three VIP salons.
Until now, the Paris outpost sold sourced items from makers from around the world – these new release items are part of the in-house Dior Home label.
The brand commissioned 11 designers to create a range of pieces which include handblown glass carafes, plates; Dior printed playing cards, crystal glassware and a picnic basket.
Each of the Dior Home pieces were inspired by the founder, from his love of flowers to his signature grey and pastel palette.
Here's a look at some of our favourites from the new range below.
