Demi Moore explains why she's got carpet in her bathroom

Demi Moore sent the internet into a frenzy recently after sharing a couple of photos from inside her bathroom.

It wasn't the luxe features that had people talking, but the unusual choice to carpet the floor, along with the addition of a couch. She's finally explained the reason behind it.

Turns out the person we should be questioning about the odd design choice is her ex-husband Bruce Willis.

"This is the house, again, that my children grew up in, and that was originally a Bruce Willis choice," Moore explained on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Tuesday, July 14.

"So, not to put it off on him, we also live in the mountains where it gets very cold. So, it's never bothered me. It's actually quite good we put rugs in our bathroom."

We all know rugs are a fantastic way to warm up a room, so it does make sense to embrace this at home — although a fully carpeted bathroom is taking that to a very new level.

Moore admitted she does "appreciate the interest" in her home.

"This place definitely houses a lot of my treasures and I have had some big laughs over the comments with my family, who know me well, of all of my eccentricities of small and large," said Moore.

One question we did have was, what on earth was that couch doing inside the bathroom? And wondered if her new podcast was the reason. Turns out it was.

"The couch is not normally in my bathroom. I had to move all that in because, you know, we were doing this podcast that we are here [on your show] to talk about," Demi explained.

"We had to find the place for the best sound. So, I did a test in my closet. I did in various places."

The original post on both Twitter and Instagram revealing the couch and carpet in her bathroom had a lot of people asking questions about the design choices.

"I can't tell if there's a couch in the bathroom or a toilet in the living room lol," commented on follower.

Another added, "Carpet in the bathroom?"

"I think I speak for most when I ask are you sitting in your bathroom?" questioned another fan.

"LoL... I thought this was your sitting room then I saw the toilet, and in picture two the tub. You have a couch in your bathroom. Good one," wrote one follower.

Now that Moore has spoken out we have our answers, and can blame the odd design choice on Willis.
