The key to her success is using what's already there. As the cabinet carcasses are in good condition, she doesn't rip them out, but simply replaces the doors.

Similarly, the tiles are fine but dated, so tile paint refreshes the look.

A fresh coat of paint on the walls and ceiling, plus laminate paint on the countertops, is all done by family members, keeping labour costs to a minimum.

And finally Cherie even manages to squeeze in some extra space simply by moving the fridge and adding an extra cabinet.
