This 'flying' house under railway bridge cuts an eerie figure

When you look at homes all day, you start to think you've seen it all — from novel features like 3D-printed to houses shaped like cowboy boots — there's not much that shocks an interiors and architecture editor. 

But, this 'flying' tiny home by Czech Republic-based firm H3T Architekt is a first. 

Painted black, and suspended in the arch of an old railway bridge by steel cables, this little house cuts an eerie figure against its snow-covered surrounds.

Accurately named Black Flying House, the structure looks as though it hovers in mid-air. It also looks like it's straight out of American Horror Story: Coven. 

Visitors who stumble over the project are left with zero explanation as to why, or how, the 1.7-by-2.5-metre space came to be there. If they dare to take a look inside, a little ladder can be pulled down and climbed to the front door. Personally, I'd run the other way if I came across this structure on a morning walk. 

Inside, it’s fitted out with a stove and sleeping loft lit by a single window. 

Okay, so it’s essentially just a single room, and perhaps a little more like a cubby house than a tiny home. But, one thing that's without a question is its creepy factor. It's like it just appeared under the bridge one night like an bad omen.

H3T architects designed the little project as an installation, which is set just outside of the Czech city of Pardubice, to recreate the atmosphere of a military complex.
