Australia, another dramatic Block auction day has come and gone.

After 12 weeks of hard work, the 2025 homes went under the hammer – to some very mixed results.

WA parents Britt and Taz walked away victorious, while SA best mates Robby and Mat and QLD parents Sonny and Alicia each made more than $100,000.

Sadly, however, high school sweethearts Emma and Ben and WA couple Han and Can will need to continue the hustle to sell their homes, as the houses were passed in at auction.

The Block Season 21 will premiere on Sunday July 27 at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

As Season 21 comes to a close, we've taken a look back at every single couple who competed on The Block and how they fared on Auction Day.

Britt and Taz: The Block 2025

This married couple are based in Newman, a mining town 1,800km (12 hours drive) north of Perth, where it's 40+ degrees every other day in summer.

Britt and Taz have two kids, Carter, 4, and Myla, 2, and are The Block's second police couple, following on from Block All-Stars Alisa and Lysandra.

They work together at the Newman police station, which services the town, mining community and indigenous communities of Western Australia.

The reno amateurs (evident by how many faux pas' Taz made) wanted to apply for The Block for years, but the timing was never right – until 2025's Daylesford season!

Their style on The Block was Modern Organic Luxury and it proved a winner, earning them four Room Reveal wins overall.

When Britt and Taz's House 3 went to auction ahead of all their neighbours, they had no idea that the rest of the day wouldn't go as hoped.

Because for them, it was a runaway success!

In a heart-racing auction, the WA parents held their breath as a secret phone bidder entered a bidding war with millionaire and Block royalty Danny Wallis.

Their Daylesford property sold for $3,410,000 and Britt and Taz walked away with $420,000 profit.

"For us that's life-changing, 100 per cent," Britt beamed.

"It means we don't have to work as hard, in hard spots, we can just breathe."

Sonny and Alicia: The Block 2025

Sonny and Alicia have been together for 14 years, married for 10. They have three kids, a daughter Aria, 12, and sons Boston, 11, and Koa, 8.

The couple were on the shortlist for the Phillip Island season of The Block and were overjoyed when they got the call to say they had made series 21.

Though they regularly butt heads – especially on what they dubbed 'Saturday night fight night' – the pair presented a strong united front and even renewed their vows during the season to celebrate their 10-year wedding anniversary.

After almost making it through the entire season without a room win, they finally scored top points for House 4's front yard – meaning they will arrive on Auction Day with a game-changing $50,000 off their reserve.

Sonny and Alicia's House 4 was the fourth to go up for auction on a tough day – immediately after a disaster result for another team.

However, some clever strategy helped them get over the line with a profit they were happy with.

They arrived at Auction with a $50,000 lower reserve thanks to a win in the final Room Reveal, so decided to start proceedings with a vendor bid of $3.05m, $100k over their reserve.

Thankfully, it panned out well. Buyer's agent Frank Valentic made a late move to offer $3.06m.

Just like that, Sonny and Alicia made an immediate $120k profit.

"We're so happy. We saw what's happened through the day and it's been a rough ride. So to have our house sold and to walk away with $120,000 and a new car, I mean today is a great result," Alicia told 9Entertainment.

Robby and Mat: The Block 2025

Robby and Mat met 15 years ago in Adelaide when Mat cut Robby's hair and they have been best friends ever since.

It was Robby's idea to apply for The Block while Mat was in Bali celebrating his 40th birthday and even thought Mat had famously never watched an episode of the show.

Despite their lack of renovation experience, it was clear from the get-go the lads were in it to win it!

They arrived on site with the huge idea of creating an underground wine cellar to give their house a valuable point of difference.

Although it was a massive risk, they pulled it off, impressing the judges so much they got a perfect score in Alfresco Dining and Shed Week.

In fact, they ended the season in a tie for the most room reveal wins.

Robby and Mat were The Block Auction favourites so the best mates walked in with high, high hopes for House 5.

However, as bidding stalled, there was no hiding the duo were devastated to walk away with a modest prize of $109,000.

Moments after Danny Wallis purchased their home for $3,099,000, Robby and Mat spoke exclusively to 9Entertainment about how they were feeling post Auction.

"It's not a great outcome but...it is what it is," Mat said sombrely.

They admitted the "hardest thing" was that they have to split the $109,000 meaning they take home $54,500 each.

Emma and Ben: The Block 2025

Emma and Ben applied for The Block seven times, and were over the moon when they finally made it for the 2025 Daylesford season.

They arrived with the most renovation experience of all the contestants, having previously done two houses plus another new build.

The couple's experience was made all the more special after they revealed a few weeks into the competition that Emma was pregnant with their first child!

The couple welcomed their son, Bailey, in September – so yes, there was a Block baby at Auction Day!

Emma and Ben: The Block 2025

It was a devastating night for Emma and Ben.

They were the third couple to go to auction, and after a disappointing start, they stepped in and paused their auction before a bid over reserve was made.

Their auctioneer returned with a $3.1m vendor bid, but it did not move any buyers in the room and they ultimately made the decision to pass in their home.

And while it was the best play to avoid a devastatingly tiny profit, it was a result no-one saw coming or hoped for, for the new parents who just welcomed a baby boy Bailey at the start of October.

"You feel flat," said Emma holding back tears. "You put your heart and soul into this house..."

"You definitely feel like a loser," reacted Ben.

Han and Can: The Block 2025

Han and Can bonded over their love of The Block almost immediately after getting together, so applying for the show was a no brainer!

Through their families, they had both been exposed to construction and real estate and were renovating their own home, a Californian bungalow, in Perth ahead of the series.

On The Block, Han took charge of the project management and Can more the creative direction, but neither were afraid to get on the tools.

They turned House 2 into 'Flow Estate', a home of luxe materials, curves and in its landscaping, Zen!
