After a six-year break, The Block returned to screens in 2010 – and with a bang!

"Having been a builder for 30 odd years, I've seen my fair share of renos but tonight you're going to see eight ordinary people do extraordinary things," a fresh-faced Scotty beamed.

Those eight ordinary people were engaged couple Chez and Brenton, best mates Mark and Duncan, sweethearts Jake and Erin and married couple Neisha and John.

Scotty warned that the couples "better spend their budget wisely" because the Blockheads were renovating four apartments in Sydney's exclusive suburb of Vaucluse.

While Season 3 of The Block gifted us a Scotty Cam debut, it also gave as another first – the first home to pass in come Auction Day.
