Robby and Mat's Frontyard and Façade

Robby and Mat found themselves in a bit of a pickle this week after learning of an outstanding bill they owed to their landscaper.
It all worked out in the end, but the boys' newly strapped budget definitely impacted their front yard plans.

Even so, they finished their time on The Block with a smile and were very proud of the house they'd created.
Scroll through to see what Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer, Marty Fox and landscaper extraordinaire Dave Franklin think of House 5's front yard and façade.
Robby and Mat couldn't believe that their time on The Block had come to an end.
"It's been a remarkable 12 weeks, we've learned a lot, we built a beautiful house," Robby said.
They were looking forward to Auction Day, but first, they had to get through the final judging of the year!

The judges arrived through the front door, made by Christian Cole.
"Ooh la la, that is a beautiful front door," Darren reacted.
"That handle is heaven."
The entry to House 5 featured a ramp and a potted plant.
But looking back at the house, the judges favourite part was the dark, board and batten façade, which Darren described as "quintessential Daylesford, contemporary farmhouse".
They then turned around to focus on the garden.
"It's a very different garden, isn't it?" Marty said, contrasting House 5 to the rest of the street.
"There's no big flat lawns, there's no massive trees, it's very different."
Different good or different bad?
Different good, mostly!
Dave Franklin heaped praise on landscaper Paal Grant's work, saying it had been "executed perfectly".
"I just love how you've got this meandering pathway through here, the undulating mountains, a bit more of a wall you than having it just flat," Dave praised.
Plus, in Dave's eyes, they'd placed "the water feature in the best spot".
Turns out, he wasn't it's only fan either!
Shaynna thought the water feature was stunning.
"Look how it hangs out of the cliffside basically," she gushed at the optical illusion.
"It's beautiful."
Shaynna also praised the interesting use of boulders as sculptures.
"A lot of the time you have the boulders as a retainer to drive everything together, but we've got the boulders here looking like they've just fallen from the sky and just landed like meteorites," she gushed.
"I just love that."
It's a simple design idea with a big impact!
