'It's been hard': The teams reunite with their families after 10 long weeks in an emotional video on The Block 2023

It's been a long 10 weeks coming, but with three reveals to go, host Scott Cam had a special surprise for our Block couples.

The teams made their way to Tanglewood Estate winery, where their loved ones were hiding behind closed doors.

"Have we got some fun stuff organised for you today," said Scotty to the soon-to-be very emotional contestants.

He opened the doors and in the most heartfelt moment, their families ran into their arms.

Emotions were running high as families were at last reunited.

"Little Hughey buried his head into me... it got me in the feels, big time," said Ash.

While Leah added: "It was actually surreal to hug them, it was just the most incredible moment."

It was a touching reunion for fellow parents Kyle and Leslie, too.

"I know for Luca especially, it's been hard, so getting to have that moment with him and Archer it was special," said Kyle.

We're not crying, you're crying!

"It's such a journey and you possibly won't ever spend this amount of time away from your kids again," he continued.

Kristy and Brett had their own special visitors.

"The double doors opened and my eyes drew straight down to two black Pugs in high-vis vests," beamed Brett. "And I just cried."

"I really don't cry often and I felt it in my chest straight away," he admitted.

Kirsty let her guard down and shed a few tears herself, even to Brett's surprise.

"It was fun, it probably one of the best times," she said. "It's what we needed to get through."
