Which house every team is renovating on The Block 2022

This year The Block has had a tree change, with each team renovating a 10-acre property located in Gisborne, located in the Macedon Ranges in Victoria.

Host Scott Cam is taking on the task of renovating the original homestead. It's the first time in the history of the show that he'll be transforming a house at the same time as the Blockheads.

The other properties – which are all three bedroom country-style homes – have all been trucked in from as far away as Queensland.

While teams start with a medium-sized country home, there will be extensions, and the final properties will be approximately 400 metre squared each.

The properties are also being set up to function off-the-grid.

Here's which team is renovating each house on The Block 2022:

House 1: Tom and Sarah-Jane

After winning the House Decider challenge, Tom and Sarah-Jane had first choice of which house they wanted to renovate. They chose House 1, which they renovated during the challenge.

"This weatherboard gem was trucked in from Queensland," host Scotty revealed. 

"It looked like a bomb had gone off," Sarah-Jane said when she first saw it.

But that will all change as the house is renovated, and the Blockhead was captivated by the view from the house.

House 2: Rachel and Ryan

Originally Joel and Elle chose to renovate House 2, but after the team decided to quit The Block, Rachel and Ryan stepped in.

Despite not getting to have any say in the house they're renovating, the team were still thrilled.

Scotty called House 2 a "true renovator's delight". But what is beginning as a cottage home is set for a glamorous transformation.

House 3: Ankur and Sharon

Originally they had their eyes on House 4, but after Dylan and Jenny snapped up the property before they could, the team settled on House 3.

"The most inexperienced people choosing the biggest house on The Block," Sharon revealed after making their decision.

The house sits atop a hill with an incredible outlook. Scotty called the house "an 1890s beauty" and it's filled with heritage details that are ready for restoration.

House 4: Dylan and Jenny

House 4 was in hot demand, with multiple couples indicating it was their first choice. Dylan and Jenny placed second in the House Decider challenge and quickly snapped the property up.

The family-friendly home is complete with a wraparound porch and curved bay windows, but despite its charm it will take a lot of work to transform into a house ready for sale.

House 5: Omar and Oz

Though they had no choice in which house they are renovating, the team were happy as it was one of their preferred choices.

It's a Queenslander tucked in at the bottom of the hill, and boasts a wraparound verandah and incredible views of the Macedon Ranges.
