The Block host Scott Cam discovers a quirky hay bale tribute of himself in a neighbour's paddock

It takes a lot to leave Scott Cam, but one local artist certainly did just that on The Block 2022.

While driving through the Macedon Ranges, Scotty and his beloved dog Frankie were heading towards walkarounds they came across something peculiar in a nearby paddock.

What Scotty saw was in fact a whopping hay bale statue of himself in a neighbour's property, complete with a speech bubble featuring his famous catchphrase: "Tools down!"

Scotty couldn't believe his eyes, and quickly knocked on the door to meet the owner of home with the larger-than-life-tribute outside, Vanessa.

"Vanessa, I don't want to sound presumptuous but... I was driving past and there was some round hay bales that looked a lot like me?" Scotty asked.

"Because it is you!" she replied.

With a smile, Scotty added: "I just wanted to come in and meet you and say thank you very much... it's not often that you're driving past and you see [that].

"It's quite a good look of me. It looks like me!"

Explaining how the statue came to be, Vanessa said: "We actually pinched [the photo] off The Block website, of you standing exactly like that!

Scotty later posed next to the statue with his arms folded. Nine

Scotty then asked for a photo with the mammoth tribute.

"Perfect timing, as I just made hot sausage rolls!" Vanessa said excitedly.

The host then strolled over to the tribute with the artist, Dean, before being handed cookies by a young boy named Alistair.

"What a privilege this is! It's absolutely outstanding. I wish I had my blue shirt on! See, I'll just stand here like this..." Scotty said, posing.

After grabbing a biscuit from the box, he smiled, "This is the best day of my life! I've got a hay bale statue of myself, hot biccies and hot sausage rolls!"
