As the end of The Block 2022 looms, the teams were given the chance to look at everyone's working from home space during Open For Inspections.

Tom and Sarah-Jane won the Room Reveal for their space, which even featured a second mezzanine level, while Rachel and Ryan came second for their "parent's retreat".

Omar and Oz came third after delivering an unfinished room but wasn't the boys' fault, and even host Scott Cam apologised to them on behalf of The Block because they couldn't get the work done in time.

Upon entering Tom and Sarah-Jane's winning room, the teams were absolutely in awe with what they saw.

EPISODE 45 RECAP: Omar and Oz forced to deliver an unfinished work from home space prompting an unprecedented apology from Scott Cam

"This is insane... and this is only downstairs!" Rachel gushed. "Oh my God! They did this in a week? They deserved this win!"

"I never thought of doing carpet..." Sharon added, while Ankur said, "That does not feel like a shed!"

Omar noticed that the couple had left a note to the judges explaining why their powder room wasn't finished.

"I do feel like we had a winning room, so it was pretty disappointing..." he told the camera.

He then read out a letter he would have written to the judges about his and Oz's unfinished room, adding: "Dear judges. The f---ing roof isn't on our shed, so we can't get carpet or we can't get plaster in. I hope you guys understand. Sad face."

But after heading to the upstairs area, even Oz couldn't deny how good the space looked.

"Judges were spot on with this one, I love it," he said.

When it came to Rachel and Ryan's "parent's retreat" in House 2, the teams also loved how the room was decorated – well, except for one detail.

"The one thing I will say, is there's one pendant that I've hated this whole time I've been here, and that just keeps showing up!" Omar said of their choice of light fitting.

"I wanted to get one of them, Jen didn't let me!" Dylan laughed, to which she replied: "I don't like them... they're just too plastic looking!"

Sarah-Jane went on to say that Rachel and Ryan could have won at Room Reveals, had they have chosen to put in a study space instead of just another living room.

"I think they could have won," Sarah-Jane said. "But they made a mistake by not putting in a study area."

"It's unfortunate... this is unfortunate!" Sarah-Jane said.

Ryan then pointed out the giant office desk which sat at the head of the room.

"That's concrete... I think that's just too cold to work off," Ryan said, while Oz added: "I guarantee you, that will never, ever be warm."

And in Dylan and Jenny's quaint space in House 4, the teams were quick to comment on the 98 inch TV which sat on the wall.

"It's very bland. I feel like I'm at a funeral," Tom added of the room.
