They're two of the most familiar faces on The Block and one thing is for sure, if they don't like something, they're going to be brutally honest about it.

Dan Reilly and Dani Wales first hit screens when they appeared on Season 5 of The Block in 2012. They came back for another crack the following year for The Block All Stars.

But they've become known for their at times savage opinions which are sometimes pitted against each other in the series 'Dan vs Dani', where they walk through the rooms after official judging.

WEEK 12: Backyard and Pool

They kicked off the Backyard, Pool and Courtyard tours in House 1, where they applauded Harry and Tash for what they'd delivered with respect to their dwindling budget. But it was House 2 that received high praise and Dani thought the space was "moody".

Considering the money tap in House 1 has run dry, Dan and Dani were impressed. Nine

"We're full up with casual seating. I would like to see some more outdoor dining," Dani said when looking at House 3.

In House 4, while both Dan and Dani were impressed by the curves and multiple zones, Dan said he would have liked to see a smoother render.

"You're wrong," Dani shot back, noting it added much needed texture into the space.

If there's one thing we love about Dani, it's that she never holds back when giving her opinion. Nine

Entering House 5, Dani revealed the space "feels a bit underdone... There needed to be something with a bit more scale".

The courtyard was redeeming, with Dani calling it "fun" and "a cool space".

They've had a lot to say about the homes this year, with some very impressive rooms. Some they blasted as "awful" or just couldn't agree on.

Here is every room Dan and Dani have seen so far on the 2020 season of The Block:

WEEK 11: Studio and Garage

The teams were hit with a double whammy when they were tasked with presenting a Studio — or "mini house", as some of the contestants called it — and Garage.

While Dan and Dani didn't have too much to say about the garages, they were very opinionated about the studio spaces.

They were both impressed with Sarah and George's completed studio, but were divided on features in the other teams' rooms. And Dani couldn't help but rib Dan when he started getting critical.

"Is that how you eat breakfast, on them chairs?" Dan asked his wife when she suggested Jimmy and Tam's study desk could also be an extended breakfast bar.

"You'd eat breakfast on whatever chair is put in front of you," Dani said with a hint of sass.

Dan (unofficially) also had his foreman hat on, and tested a few shower screens to see if they were compliant. (Spoiler alert: They weren't.)

WEEK 10: Front Yard and Façade

Front Yard and Façade was a mammoth challenge for the teams and the couple had a lot to say about each space.

Sarah and George, who tied for a win this week, impressed with their plant choices, which Dani said will smell beautiful when they're in bloom.

But one team did leave them asking plenty of questions about their execution and layout.

WEEK 8: Upstairs Rooms

There was a lot to love in the Upstairs Rooms, with one clear champion for the couple, while another team just missed the mark with poor design.
