Aussie stars clash in Celebrity Apprentice Australia sneak peek

The 15 celebrities joining Celebrity Apprentice Australia may be the "giants, icons and legends" of their fields, but that will mean nothing to new CEO Lord Alan Sugar in the boardroom.

A fresh promo for the new season has landed, previewing some of the tasks the celebrities will have to complete to raise money for their charities, and clashes we'll see between some of Australia's most popular personalities.

The celebrities make candid claims.

"I've had a 20-year high-level fashion career," former Survivor winner David Genat tells Lord Sugar in the boardroom.

During a team challenge, singer Anthony Callea admits, "My face doesn't move, I've had so much Botox!"

But let's get to the "showbiz showdowns".

Someone clearly gets on Anthony's nerves because he snaps, "I'm not gonna play your bulls--- game."

Former Married At First Sight bride-turned-beauty influencer Martha Kalifatidis will go head to head with Australian Ninja Warrior star Olivia Vivian in the boardroom.

"I was cooking," Martha says.

"You were not cooking!" Olivia replies in frustration.

One of the challenges seems to make The Veronicas, Jess and Lisa Origliasso, emotional and a little feisty.

"The Veronicas may be five-foot tall but they are frightening!" The Block judge Shaynna Blaze says in a confessional moment.

Comedian Ross Noble tells fashion designer Camilla Franks, "You are self-obsessed," which doesn't go down well.

"To call me self-obsessed on national TV is the cruellest thing you could have done," she says through tears.

And David Genat's Survivor instincts are in full swing.

"I'm hoping Michelle Bridges gets fired today," he says in a confessional, but moments later he's seen telling Michelle, "I got your back in the boardroom, I wanna make sure you go through."

Then in the boardroom he says, "I didn't feel like I got any direction from Michelle at all."

"He is playing a game. He will win at all costs," a voice-over observes.

The final word in this preview goes to Lord Sugar.

"You're very smooth," he says. "But then again, so are a lot of snakes."

Who this line is aimed at remains to be seen.

As for the things they'll have to do to raise money for charity? Radio star Wippa looks like he has a cast of his body made, and David struts his stuff in budgie smugglers and a headdress.

Lord Sugar will be joined by advisors Lorna Jane and Janine Allis in the boardroom. They will also oversee the challenges.

• David Genat — International model and winner of Australian Survivor: All-Stars

• Martha Kalifatidis — Social media influencer and star of Married at First Sight

• Rob Shehadie — Writer, comedian, and star of Here Come the Habibs

• Camilla Franks — Iconic fashion designer and artist

• Anthony Callea — ARIA Award-winning artist

• Olivia Vivian — Olympic gymnast and the most successful woman in Australian Ninja Warrior history

• Alex Hayes — Professional surfer and Instagram star

Former AFL player Josh Gibson and Perth weather presenter Scherri-Lee Biggs have also been announced as new recruits.

Celebrity Apprentice Australia will air on Channel Nine and 9Now in 2021.
