I feel like Mariah Carey in November: it's tiiiiiiiime!

And to be fair, I am also ushering in the most wonderful time of year: Dinner Party time!

The white dresses are off, the honeymoons are over and we're finally heading to the first chaotic meal of the MAFS 2026 season.

Tonight, there are power struggles, interrogations and "bad juju". My favourite kind. But first...

The honeymoons

In Tasmania, it's clear Stella and Filip are thriving by how close they are willing to get to each other's feet.

While they're getting their pash on in a tub, Julia and Grayson are taking things a little slower in Port Douglas.

On the final night of their honeymoon, Gia and Scott get intimate and immediately feel closer together.

Contrast that with Bec and Danny in Fiji, who are trying to reset after their intimacy did the exact opposite before a disastrous honesty box and blow-up over dinner.

They each apologise for their part in the fight and get back to laughing, joking and sipping on terrible-looking pink drinks.

Cocktail Hour

Everyone's glammed up with game plans at the ready.

For Gia and Scott, that means flaunting their "power couple" status. For Mel, that means talking to someone other than Luke.

Looking forward to hearing them say things other than "yeah nice" and "oh true". Nine

Danny is also not feeling confident in his match.

In fact, he just said his sexual attraction to Bec is about a three out of 10 right now, "which isn't that bad, by the way".

I don't know man, it feels pretty bad!

Before long, Bec is doing a very poor job of convincing the other brides there are not intimacy issues in her marriage.

As Mel and Luke arrive, Mel runs away so quickly it's like she's about to take flight.

She beelines for Alissa, who she explains would be her dream physical match if only she was not a woman, and talks about how much she does not feel like Meg Ryan in You've Got Mail.

Gia and Scott are last to arrive, and while they're hot and heavy, the vibe between Gia and Bec quickly turns frosty.

Gia quickly claims Danny was looking at her and while Bec was earlier telling Rebecca that was a concern of hers, it's not something she wants to discuss further.

"I'm not putting that into the universe, Danny and Gia, it's bad vibes, it's bad juju," she tells a producer.

And with that, dinner is served!

Dinner Party

The glasses have barely been poured before Gia sets the tone.

And that tone is down and dirty.

"So have you guys slept together yet?" she asks literally everyone in the room.

EMBARGO 9/2/2026 9:30PM MAFS 2026: Gia

"Hello stranger, tell me about your sex life." Nine

"Funny first question to ask someone you barely know," reacts dear sweet, innocent Steven.

In response he mentions their honeymoon "hiccups" and it's like watching a lamb to the slaughter.

Suddenly, the entire table is staring at him awaiting the gossip.

But before long, it's back to sex.

As Gia recounts her hot and heavy relationship so far, Bec listens in awkwardly until she realises she's got one thing over them ... at least her and Danny's honeymoon wasn't in Townsville?

"Bec is yuck, like what's your f---ing problem?" Gia reacts, coming to the defence of mainly herself but maybe also Townsville.

EMBARGO 9/2/2026 9:30PM MAFS 2026: Gia

How dare they. Townsville is ... fine. Nine

Gia shoots a question across the table. Who can guess what is it? Oh, everyone? Okay then.

"Have you guys had sex?" she says.

Bec tries to leave, so Gia instead makes it everyone's conversation – with yet another sex-related toast to the entire room.

EMBARGO 9/2/2026 9:30PM MAFS 2026: John Aiken

I don't think John approves of the sexy time point scoring. Nine

Bec finally raises her hand and says she and Danny slept together once. Meanwhile, Gia reckons she and Scott have done it "twelve times".

"Sometimes, what's good for the hole is not good for the soul," Bec reacts. Profound. Is that Plato?

It spirals into a full-blown fight as Bec says that sometimes, slow burns make for the strongest relationships while the hot and heavy "crumble".

"Hold on!" Gia yells across the table, offended at Bec implying her relationship may "fizzle out".

EMBARGO 9/2/2026 9:30PM MAFS 2026: Gia and Bec

Oooop. Nine

Bec insists that's not her point, but she's trying to ensure couples that aren't yet doing ~it~ don't feel left behind.

By now, the table's a little shellshocked by the Bec vs Gia of it all.

"Stay on your own bloody journey. Yeah? No judgement guys!" Rebecca counsels.

Bless. It's a lovely message but I am now questioning if she's ever seen this show before.

Shall we talk about something other than sex?

I have a suggestion! Will Mel ever give Luke a chance?

The women interrogate her because in their eyes Luke seems kind, good-looking and normal. Kind of a MAFS unicorn.

EMBARGO 9/2/2026 9:30PM MAFS 2026: Mel and Luke

Just in case you were wondering if they'd made any progress... Nine

Alissa asks what Mel's ick is.

"He listens to the TV volume really loudly," she replies.

And he doesn't even turn it down when she ... oh, she's never actually asked him to turn it down.

Girl, WHAT!? Nine

Meanwhile, Luke is finally seeing how Mel acts when she actually likes people.

It hurts.

"I'm losing the motivation to try," he says. "I can't be positive forever."

Suddenly, the entire table's interested in Mel and Luke and he explains his predicament very diplomatically.

As the group advise Mel to relax and start building a friendship, she admits he's definitely trying harder than she is.

Shocking!

It's been five minutes of non-sex chat so Gia's restless to turn attention back to Bec and Danny, whose relationship she is not buying.

They recount their honeymoon tiff for the group but are adamant that they've got a good ... yikes, did he say friendship?

With that, everyone cheers, claps and heads off to tell the cameras how little they buy it.

"Maybe he's not so happy with Mrs Grinchy and he's looking at me a bit too much," Gia concludes.

Oh boy. It's the kind of shade only a Dinner Party can provide – thank God they're back!

Tomorrow night, we're saying hello to a brand new friend: Revelations Week.
