'Highly regret': MAFS groom Liam Cooper's candid warning to followers following cosmetic procedure

Married At First Sight star Liam Cooper has said he "highly regrets" getting a cosmetic procedure a year ago after it left him with "body image issues".

Liam took to Instagram over the weekend and posted a photo of the results after he had fat injected into his face.

"Hi it's me, I am the problem!" he captioned the picture.

"This photo always cracks me up! It was a year ago when I decided to get fat injections into my face.

"I hardly regret things in my life, but this is one that I HIGHLY regret, and when I say highly, I mean if I could turn back time, I would!"

He continued: "Because of this, I now have body image issues and at points hate what my face looks like now,.

"I hate it that much, I hate looking at myself in photos. I avoid taking photos or even being in videos.

"That's why I don't come on stories much. Which is a shame, because that's no way to live. I am now in the process of reversing this and I can't bloody wait!"

The reality star opened up to fans about the procedure last year, explaining that he got fat injections as a more cost-effective option to getting filler every couple of months.

"We decided to harvest fat from my body (thigh to be exact) and injected this into my face. I got fat injected in my jawline, chin and cheeks," he explained at the time.

Liam has always been transparent with fans regarding the cosmetic enhancements he's had done.

"Guys get work done too and I have never hidden anything I've had done. I am all about making awareness and breaking stigma," he said.

But it seems this time he had a clear warning for his followers: "Moral of this post, don't inject s--t into your face or anywhere really, take it from me, lesson learnt!"

Liam was the first bisexual groom on MAFS and was matched with Georgia Fairweather during their time in the experiment.

During a dramatic Final Vows, he decided not to continue their relationship and ended up meeting MAFS NZ groom Samuel Levi after the experiment.

The pair dated for two years before announcing their shock split in April 2023.
