MAFS expert John Aiken on the unprecedented decision to bring controversial groom Eliot back to the experiment
Married At First Sight expert John Aiken had his work cut out for him with returning groom Eliot.
After bailing on his first marriage to Lauren, the experts challenged Eliot to show up to the experiment in a real way, this time in a second marriage to Veronica.

Speaking on Today Extra, John Aiken reflected on the decision to bring the controversial groom back in the same season – an unprecedented move for the show.
"I loved having Eliot on this experiment because he came with a list of deal-breakers and I challenged him on those," the expert began.

Of course John was referring to the intense one-on-one showdown he had with Eliot when he first called quits on his marriage to Lauren.

While Eliot's comeback was a decision the experts didn't take lightly, the knew it was one not everyone would agree with.
But John was happy to report things were working out for Eliot.
"We brought him back and we were interested to see – can he learn? Can he do it differently?" John explained.
"He definitely starts to do things differently, and I admire that."
John also spoke candidly on his feelings around the very fiery Dinner Parties.
"When I go home late at night after watching a Dinner Party I have to wash the noise off me because it is so incredibly intense," he said.
"You're watching human behaviour at its rawest. This year more than ever [the Dinner Parties] have been volatile and hard to watch."
