Married At First Sight's Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Sobinoff has been very open about her struggles with endometriosis.

The former reality star has been battling with the condition and recently told her 400,000 followers that she had an upcoming surgery to investigate things further.

"Surgery tomorrow to look for endometriosis in my urethra …. Then get some answers," she wrote.

"If I'm completely honest, I'm very nervous. I hope there is nothing in there."

Lizzie has updated fans on her results and the days that followed on from the surgery in an Instagram video.

She posted a clip of herself in a surgery gown, cap and mask before heading in for the procedure, as well as a few snippets of her recovery in the following days.

"A bit of a stressful week… but I'm so happy no endometriosis was found in the urethra," she captioned the post on her Instagram stories.

While the surgery revealed good news, Lizzie is taking some time to rest and recoup.

"I'm on medication for something else. I'm just chilling out for a bit now."

Friends and fans alike were pleased to hear the good news and sent Lizzie wishes for a speedy recovery.

Lizzie was diagnosed with endometriosis earlier this year. Since finding out, the reality star has used her platform to bring awareness to the condition.
