From social media stars to a former musician: The MAFS 2026 brides and grooms' jobs before appearing on the show
Season 13 of MAFS has introduced us to many interesting characters!
From bubbly brides, brooding grooms and everything in between, this latest batch of participants come from all different walks of life.
MAFS: After The Dinner Party starts Wednesday February 18 only on Stan.
Here, we take a look at the careers and jobs that keep them busy when they aren't looking for love on our screens!
From a model to tradies to even a former musician, there's plenty of skillsets and talents on display among the 2026 cast.

Julia
Occupation: Confidence and Charisma Consultant
While marrying a stranger and taking part in the experiment was a whole new experience for Julia, it certainly wasn't her only time in front of the camera!
While she now works as a communication and confidence specialist, running workshops for businesses on how to harness their own voice online, Julia's previously had an impressive career on TV...
Julia
Julia previously worked as a journalist, both in Australia and as a correspondent in London.
Because of this, she has an impressive list of A-list interviews under her belt including with Harrison Ford, Cher, Kate Winslet, Ryan Gosling, Idris Elba and Jennifer Lawrence.
Not bad!
All of this experience culminated in her media training business.
"From acting schools in both Australia and the UK, TV presenting workshops, my journalism degree and a plethora of other work in the media industry, reflecting on the hours, days, weeks, months that I've invested in this skill – and now helping others do the same brings me so much joy," she shared.
Filip
Occupation: Carpenter
Filip is a chippie who has used his experience helping other tradies on site to create a side hustle he's passionate about.
He is an online coach with a YouTube channel, which certainly caused a bit of controversy on his wedding day!
Filip
Filip shares multiple weekly videos on his YouTube channel, offering tips about lifestyle and wellbeing as well as his own journey giving up alcohol and transforming his life.
However, Filip's mention of the channel in his wedding vows had new wife Stella's friends very protective!
While they worried he was in the experiment for the wrong reasons, Stella appreciated his passion for helping other men and gave him the benefit of the doubt.
Steven
Occupation: Marine Technician
Steven spends his work days as a "boat doctor", so it was fitting his wedding to Rachel was while sailing in Sydney Harbour.
But before he took to the water, Steven had another dream ... becoming a rock star!
He definitely looked the part – swipe across to see!
Steven
For most of his 20s, Steven was in a heavy metal band! Yes, with the rocker hair and piercings!
We think he rocks this look.
It seems Steven's since left his lip ring behind, and he now runs his own company fixing boats.
Grayson
Occupation: Company Director
Grayson has had one heck of a career journey!
He initially envisioned a star-studded career as an AFL player, before his dreams were crushed by a series of serious injuries.
Following that, he worked in real estate before founding his recruitment and advisory agency, where he's now the company director.
Alissa
Occupation: Nurse / Social Media Manager
Alissa contains multitudes!
She's been a nurse for 12 years, specialising in paediatrics, and she loves being "a positive light in their darkness".
She's also built a career in social media, with thousands of followers across Instagram and TikTok enjoying her fitness and lifestyle content.
Luke
Occupation: Farmer
You'll be shocked to learn that Farmer Luke is indeed, a farmer!
It's not a job that Luke always saw himself doing, but after the death of his father he took over his dad's cattle property.
If his social media content is anything to go by, Luke has quickly come to love the country lifestyle!
