Aussie reality star Bronte Schofield drops $60k on medical bills after breast implant surgery left her with life-altering effects
Former Married At First Sight star Bronte Schofield revealed she has dropped $60,000 on medical bills trying to correct the life-altering effects of her breast implant surgery.
Speaking to The Sun UK, Bronte, now 32, opened up about the health issues she's struggled with for the past 10 years.

At 22, Schofield spent $7,500 on breast implants, only to begin to experiencing severe gut inflammation about two years later.
Although she's suffered from gut issues for a long time, the symptoms seemed to get worse after receiving her implants.
It wasn't until she saw a Chinese medicine doctor that she realised that the two could be related.

She recalled telling her doctor telling her she had a very congested liver.
As someone conscious of what they put in their body, focusing on anti-inflammatory foods, Schofield was initially baffled by the news.
But she soon came to realise that the inflammation in her liver had been caused by the inflammation from her implants, preventing her body from processing hormones properly.

She went to see another doctor, who told her that basically, her body was preparing for early menopause at 30. Her doctor put it all down to her breast implants.
"He's like, 'we see it so much in women who have implants, the inflammation in their body'," she recalled.

The implants had also affected her premenstrual syndrome, with Schofield saying that it was like her PMS was extreme.
"I will hysterically cry for days before my period. I'm hysterical. It's like my life's over, and I'm like, I've never had this," she said.
On top of the $7,500 for the implants, Schofield estimated that she spent around $60,000 on getting her health right.

Now, she's planning on spending another $7,500 to have the implants removed.
"I can rip these out and go, good riddance. I'm gonna live the rest of my life inflammation-free, no anxiety, I can sleep through the night, no night sweats until I'm well into my 40s.
"The fact that we put ourselves through surgery for fashion, for a beauty standard. It's really mind-boggling, isn't it?"

Bronte first shot to fame in the 2023 season of Married At First Sight. Then she was 'married' to on-screen husband Harrison Boon.
Their marriage was problematic from the get-go with whispers Boon was texting another woman the day of their wedding.
