Jaws dropped as Carina and Paul walked in separate at the Final Dinner Party of Married At First Sight 2025.
Earlier in the week, Paul confessed he went on a date with his alternative match after accepting the Final Task. Carina "flipped" when she found out, calling the move "borderline cheating".
On Wednesday night, he faced the firing line.

"I swear to God, I was just being stupidly curious," said Paul as he explained his actions to a less than receptive group.
Carina sat in silence, taking it all in. Until she uttered three words before Paul broke down in tears.

As Paul reassured how "awkward" the date was, Dave called out Paul's lack of ability to even think of Carina's feelings.
Rhi branded the act "unforgiveable", while Beth couldn't fathom why Paul would even entertain the idea.

But it was Carina's words that hurt the most.
Paul went on: "I know it's so hard to believe because we're in such a good place, I'm so happy with my relationship with myself and Carina...'"
"Clearly not..." Carina interrupted.
Then it was Carina's turn.
Carina felt "disrespected" Paul didn't consider her feelings after everything they've been through.

Paul apologised: "I just regret so much taking that decision, I've shot myself in the foot, I've ruined my entire relationship..."
Carina then uttered three words that broke Paul's heart: "It's not enough."
"The biggest thing that offends me so much, and I feel so betrayed, is that you were literally in my family home the week before, Paul," Carina continued.
"You came into my home, the world was given to you, then the next week you're going on a date with another woman?!"

"Try harder," she fumed. "I'm a catch".
It had all become too much for the groom, who slowly broke down in tears.
