Exclusive: MAFS groom Paul opens up about his dating history in unseen audition tape: 'I just get bored'
EXCLUSIVE: Paul opened up about "almost giving up" on dating after having unsuccessful experiences for two years in his Married At First Sight audition tape.
Of course, we now know that dating history already included his bride, Carina!

In his exclusive audition tape, which you can watch above, Paul opened up about where he stood on modern dating.
"I was dating quite a fair bit for about two years. For the last 12 months, I almost gave up," he explained.
"Dating these days is almost exhausting, you know?"

Paul said that for him, a successful date needed an initial physical attraction followed by something more substantial.

"If I can't have a decent conversation, if I can't talk about life or future goals, if there's no substances to it, I just get bored and I don't know if it's worth it going any further," he said.
"I need to have that little spark, that little thing that makes me want to see that person again."
After his on-screen wedding, Carina and Paul revealed they had dated before – and he had ghosted her.
Thankfully, it seems they've found that much-needed spark second time around!

During his audition, Paul also opened up about the common dating behaviour that is his biggest 'ick'.
"There's nothing worse for it, it actually makes my f--king skin crawl when I think about it," the groom revealed.
