Their wedding day hit a speedbump early on – both hailing from Perth, they quickly realised they had dated before, and Paul had ghosted her!

Carina looked gorgeous in a lace white gown, which she said was inspired by her mother's own wedding dress.
She wore her hair loose in stunning long waves, covered by a matching lace veil.
After feeling like the "black sheep" of her family as the only one not to find love, Carina said her wedding day felt like the start of the most important chapter of her life.
Two years ago, Paul said he had lost hope on finding love but now he felt "ready to commit" to someone again.
"I feel so ready for this. I just want to be the kind of husband who provides and I want her to feel safe," he said.
The groom looked very sharp as he arrived at his big day in a classic black tuxedo, crisp white shirt and black bow tie. He accessorised with a white floral corsage and pocket square.
"I'm a very loving person. I'm very affectionate, so those are all the things I want to give my future wife," he beamed.
As Paul walked down the aisle, Carina's family were immediately delighted by him.
"She's going to be very happy. I think it's going to be a great day!" Carina's aunt Maria gushed.
"You better catch your breath, because you're about to lose it again," one of her friends warned.
Her friend wasn't wrong!
As Carina walked down the aisle with her father, it was clear Paul was very taken by her - look at that smile!
Paul began his vows in French and yes, it's safe to say the room was swooning!
"Two things to know about me, I'm a hopeless romantic… and I'm French," he joked.
He continued: "I promise you from this moment forward that I will keep you safe. I will be your protector, your person to lean on when times get tough.
"I promise that I have so much love left to give. I'm ready more than ever to embrace the possibility of falling in love."
During her vows, Carina said she had experienced love and heartbreak before.
"I've struggled to find a man who I can see myself spending the rest of my life with. I've been in love before, but I haven't found the one," she said.
She hoped that this experience would change that.
"I am ready for the missing puzzle piece to complete my love story," she shared.
As the celebrant declared them husband and wife, Carina and Paul's friends and family gushed about the good-looking pair's immediate chemistry.
Paul also immediately received her mum's all-important seal of approval.
"He said, 'I'm going to protect you', which is what as a mother I would always want. I would want my daughter to be protected and that just stuck out, like amazing."
Little did they know, further details about the newlywed's relationship were unfolding nearby...
After their fairytale ceremony ended, Carina dropped a major bombshell.
"I know him," she told a production member. She explained that she and Paul had gone on a hiking date about eight months ago, but he "ghosted" her afterwards.
"I actually thought I was going to meet someone who I've never known, so right now I'm just disappointed by the whole situation," Carina admitted.
"Who knows, it might be all over for Paul and I."
