Exclusive: MAFS bride Beth reveals what she really thought of her alternative match: 'He was not for me'

EXCLUSIVE: When Married At First Sight bride Beth learned she had the chance to meet with her alternative match during the Final Task, she admitted it was a quick decision.

"I knew [my husband] Teejay wasn't into me, he'd just written 'leave' and even though I didn't want to entertain someone else I also didn't want to chase someone who didn't want me," Beth told 9Entertainment.

But when Beth met up with Oisin, a 28-year-old personal trainer with a charming Irish accent, her date wasn't exactly what she'd envisioned.

"I know I pretended I had a good time but he really wasn't for me," Beth said candidly.

While she only met him for a brief time, she didn't get a good vibe and even thought he was a bit "cocky".

"I think that's why I was so disappointed at the end of the date because it just made me think about Teejay even more," she continued.

"[Oisin] was nice enough, a bit cocky for me, but no – I would not have been happy if I was originally matched with him."

Despite the laughs and banter had on the date, Beth said for the most part she was just being polite.

Considering her alternative match wasn't exactly a catch in her eyes, it made it even tougher for Beth to hear Teejay had such a great time on his date with a woman named Tara.

"He was telling me that she was really attractive and they got along really well and it obviously wasn't what I wanted to hear," the 28-year-old said.

Beth was left with even more uncertainty as she and Teejay faced the last leg to Final Vows.

Beth wasn't surprised that husband Teejay opted to go on his date considering the state of their relationship, but she was shocked by some of her co-star's controversial choices.

"I genuinely didn't think Paul would be so stupid and actually take on that task. I honestly thought Carina has forgiven him so many times. So I thought he'd be like, 'Right this girl stood my my side, so I'm not going to do it.' I was really disappointed in him," Beth said.

Tonight the Final Task continues it's time for Jamie and Dave, Jacqui and Ryan and Awhina and Adrian to have their turn.
