Exclusive: MAFS groom Dave reacts to co-star's 'risky behaviour' after Dinner Party showdown

EXCLUSIVE: Clear battle lines were drawn at Wednesday's Married At First Sight Dinner Party as Jamie fired up at her friends for not defending her against co-star Lauren.

One person Jamie didn't have to worry about having her back was husband Dave, who was appalled by some of the names Lauren called Jamie and the other brides – and "boganic" was just the tip of the iceberg.

"There's cameras there and we're on a national TV show so imagine what she's saying behind closed doors," Dave told 9Entertainment.

"It's pretty risky behaviour."

While he 100 percent supported wife Jamie, Dave couldn't help but understand where some of his friends were coming from when it came to shying away from confrontation, particularly Rhi.

"I know it is an uncomfortable situation," he said.

"Looking back I think that people wish they would've spoken up a little bit more, but I do understand that it's a lot."

It's clear that Jamie and Dave's bond was unshakeable. During the Dinner Party Dave even told his wife that if it was necessary they would "burn it to the ground".

For Dave, loyalty has a "no questions asked" policy.

"You just back your partner, you can debrief situations in private but in a group setting I'm not going to tell her to calm down. She's going to say it with her chest and I'm going to back her," he said.

If there was one person Dave was worried about it was Clint, who he felt would soon be blindsided by his wife Lauren's lack of interest.

When it came to describing Lauren and Clint's relationship, Dave landed on the word "stale".

Dave felt he'd done his bit by trying to tell Clint the truth about what Lauren had said about having no spark, but now the matter is out of his hands.

"He didn't take the bait and now he's getting take for a ride," he concluded.
