'Better than a ring': MAFS' Ellie Dix and talks babies and business with Jonathan McCullough while teasing 'exciting' news
It's been almost one year since Married At First Sight's Ellie Dix and Jonathan McCullough shocked the nation when they arrived hand-in-hand at the Season 11 Reunion.
Now, Ellie has answered the one question fans have been dying to know.

The couple, who weren't matched on the show but soon found love after the series ended, spoke candidly about their relationship in a fan Q&A.
"Did you like Jono from the start?" one curious fan was eager to find out.
Taking to Instagram, Ellie made things clear.
"I only met @jono.mccullough at the first dinner party and we only ever said hello randomly around Skye Suites (where we filmed)," she began to explain.
"I was trying to making it work with Benny boy [Ben Walters, who she was originally matched with] but I realised he was not 'The one'."

"Jono and I only ever chatted via Insta DM so I could keep up with the goss after I left," she explained.
"I decided I liked Jono after we met for coffee and it turned into drinks and more drinkssss and then I thought, 'Hey, this guy is pretty amazing'.
"And also he was way taller than Ben soooo 😂😂😂 I'm kidding."
With their one-year anniversary next month, Ellie revealed that her and Jono are still going strong, and teased some big plans.

"We also have some exciting news to share in a few weeks (NO I'm not pregnant - as much as the show made it look like I was desperate for a baby hahaha good times."
With pregnancy rumours settled, Ellie addressed engagement rumours too.

"Have you and Jono spoke re: getting engaged?" another fan asked.
"Jono just purchased a laser machine for me so any chance of getting a ring is off the table," she answered. "Anyway the laser is better than a ring!!!"
She's of course talking about the laser machine for the cosmetics company they started together.

Ellie previously worked as a cosmetic nurse before leaving her job and travelling Australia and Europe with Jono over the past few months. In September 2024, the couple announced their new business venture.
While she would be the face of the new company, Ellie shouted out Jono for "doing the whole business set up".
"It has been a monster of a task so thank you so much Jono, you're amazing, love you."
During MAFS, Jono was matched with Lauren Dunn and Ellie was paired with Ben Walters. However, those relationships did not work out and the pair revealed their relationship at the Reunion, surprising their castmates.
After the series, they moved in together on the Gold Coast – and are now partners in both life and business!
