The couples who were matched by the experts on MAFS 2024

Married At First Sight is officially back, and a whole new batch of brides and grooms have walked down the aisle to try and find their perfect match.

Experts John Aiken, Mel Schilling and Alessandra Rampolla have chosen from thousands of applications and decided the matches they think will enjoy a long-lasting relationship.

This week, three new couples are tying the knot in front of the nation – and you can see exactly who they are below.

Jade and Ridge

Jade, 26, is an executive assistant from Queensland. A single mum with an eight-year-old daughter, Jade said she's searching for an honest man who can keep up with her wild and playful side.

The experts thought her perfect match would be 27-year-old Ridge.

He's finally ready to put an end to his bachelor lifestyle, and find his one true love.

The couple sparked an instant attraction when they first laid eyes on each other. But can they find the deeper connection they've both been searching for?

Michael and Stephen

Michael was left heartbroken when his original match pulled out of the experiment before their wedding even took place.

John Aiken asked Michael, 34, to keep his faith in the experts, as they wanted to find a match that was even better suited for him further down the line.

Enter Stephen.

Stephen, 26, is an identical twin and one of eight children – and he definitely has a lot of love to give.

He's been hurt in the past, but he's now ready to find a meaningful relationship with a man who is family orientated with a good sense of humour and killer smile.

Sparks definitely flew at the end of the aisle, but only time will tell if this pair will go the distance.

Madeleine and Ash

Madeleine, 30, is an energetic, charismatic psychic medium from Melbourne.

She admitted she's been through a lot in the last couple of years and is ready for a new phase in her life.

Her match Ash, 33, is a caring and sensitive Sales Manager, also from Melbourne. He said he's looking for an authentic partner who is willing to accept him for who he is.

The experts thought their personalities would be a perfect fit, and sparks definitely flew when they first laid eyes on each other down the aisle.

But will it be a love story for the ages, or are these two just a little too different?

Andrea and Richard

At 62, Richard is still young and playful and after separating from his wife of 28 years, he is looking for his forever person.

The motivational speaker explained to the experts that he wanted someone "positive", "optimistic" and "non-judgmental".

The experts thought carefree photographer Andrea, 51, would tick those boxes.

After she was introduced to the term "gas lighting" when watching a previous season of MAFS, Andrea ended her last relationship and thinks it's only fair the experts give her another shot at love.

"We've never seen a couple with this much maturity and life experience before, so the two of them are going to meet at a very different level to our other couples," expert Mel Schilling explained.

It was a match the experts were excited to see come to life as even with their maturity, Andrea and Richard are definitely "young at heart".

The energy was palpable as Andrea and Richard laid eyes on each other – and better yet they got their children's seal of approval!

Lauren and Jonathan

"Crazy, but in a good way" is how bride Lauren, 32, admits her exes would describe her. 

"I just don't like bulls--t. If I see something I don't like I say it, and it always ends up in an argument," Lauren said.

She entered the experiment looking for someone "level headed" who could balance her out.

The experts hand picked health business owner Jonathan, 39, who loves a good routine.

He admitted he'd been "unlucky in love" and was guilty of letting 'the one' slip through his fingers.

The experts thought these two could really work, but knew that the challenge would be Lauren figuring out that Jonathan is the type of guy she needs rather than the type she usually goes for.

The physical attraction was obvious on their wedding day, here's hoping the couple can build a deeper connection.

Ellie and Ben

Ellie, 32, was left completely heartbroken when her partner revealed he didn't love her anymore months before they were set to wed.

"It all just crumbled," she explained to the experts, before telling them how she just wanted to live the "average Australian dream".

The experts thought that after her heartache, she needed someone like Ben. The 39-year-old tour guide is on the same page as she is – he's ready to settle down.

"Ellie is a person who really deserves a second chance," John said in a discussion with the experts.

"She's really looking ahead into motherhood and taking those steps. They really are aligned into what they want to get in this process. I'm very hopeful about them," Alessandra added.

Mel pointed out that both of them had "humble" expectations, and just wanted to find love.

There was definitely chemistry there between the duo on their wedding day, so there's every chance the experts could be bang on the money.

Eden and Jayden

Jayden, a 26-year-old professional kickboxer was tired of being misjudged for his tough exterior.

He insisted he has a "soft, mushy" interior and was hurt in the past when his last girlfriend cheated on him.

With traditional values, Jayden explained he is ready for a wife and kids.

The experts thought that Eden, 28, would be the perfect fit.

Having had her ex cheat on her with her childhood best friend, Eden admitted she no longer "trusted easily".

"They've both experienced the same betrayal and it makes it easier to trust someone when they've gone through the same thing," expert Alessandra Rampolla said.

Sparks flew between these two and despite Jayden doubting Eden's interest in him, she reassured him the attraction was definitely there.

Natalie and Collins

Bubbling with quirky energy, self-described dork Natalie, 32, is looking for someone who will love her for her true self.

The experts hoped that "chatterbox" Collins, 28, could be that guy for Natalie.

Collins' experience when it comes to dating and relationships is zero. He has had his heart broken by unrequited love once, never had a girlfriend, and is perpetually put in the friend zone.

Natalie on the other hand has had a seven-year relationship and the experts are hoping she can help Collins find his feet.

"The good news here is that Natalie is very patient and non-judgmental. She's patient and she's going to give him that room to grow," expert Mel Schilling beamed.

When they met at the altar there was plenty of common ground between Natalie and Collins but will it be enough for them to last the distance?

Lucinda and Timothy

After facing a heartbreaking family loss, Timothy entered the experiment to find a partner he could share his life with.

He wanted someone "caring and nurturing," who just wants, "you for you".

The experts thought he would be perfectly suited to Lucinda, a woman who oozes warmth, comfort and laughter.

"She shares with Timothy that wicked sense of humour. I feel when people are able to laugh and feel safe, that's a beautiful recipe for finding love," Alessandra said.

"I can see she's so ready to pour all that heart and emotion into this man," Mel agreed.

"Tim is looking for someone with a huge heart that can be vulnerable, and I think Lucinda brings all of that," John added.

The couple got on like a house on fire during their Wedding Day, despite the rain almost ruining the entire ceremony!

Tori and Jack

Jack came into the experiment as a self-proclaimed "alpha" looking for someone to match his energy.

The experts thought they'd found the perfect bride in Tori, who is equally as strong-willed as him with the confidence to boot.

"They're a dynamite couple," John beamed as he discussed the match with the experts.

When they met down the aisle, the chemistry was definitely there.

But will it be enough to see them through to Final Vows?

Sara and Tim

Sara is fluent in Spanish and was raised in Colombia until she was five. Funnily enough that's also Tim's favourite place in the world – and somewhere he's lived before, too.

The duo can also speak fluent Spanish, and learned that about each other at the end of the aisle.

The couple have faced heartache in the past, and it's fair to say the experts think they've finally met their match in each other.

"This couple have the potential to be lightning in a bottle," Mel told cameras. "They are exactly what each other has asked for, and I believe what each other need."

John said this could be "our best match in the entire series in terms of personality styles and chemistry," while Alessandra gushed: " I'm telling you, this is going to be very, very fiery."

When they met at the end of the aisle, it's fair to say sparks were flying.

The two were mind-blown by the end of their wedding, with Tim calling their match "perfect" and a stunned Sara admitted he was everything she was looking for.

Cassandra and Tristan

Bubbly, resilient 29-year-old Cassandra loves her family and is desperate to recreate that for herself.

Despite her positive nature, Cassandra has dealt with a lot of tragedy. Her high school sweetheart was killed in a motorcycle accident. The pair had been together for eight years before the tragedy struck.

Now, she's ready to find love once more – and her story was one that really moved expert Mel.

"Hearing Cassandra's story and the tragedy she's suffered - it's really left a lasting impact on me," Mel said. "I think it's a real credit to her, and tells us a lot about who she is, her resilience and enduring optimism."

Quirky, happy Tristan is looking for the exact same thing – love. Grappling with his own personal insecurities, he is also someone who values family and the experts are confident the two will make a beautiful match.

"One of the keys for Tristan is believing he deserves happiness," Mel explained, while Alessandra said that his wonderful personality was really going to be something Cass would "respond" to.

The duo were all smiles as they met down the aisle for the first time, and it's fair to say they were off to a brilliant start in their journey to find love.
