Coronavirus restrictions mean the UK won't be filming a new season of Love Island this year, but they will get to watch all the steamy action from Season 1 of the Australian version.

And Josh and Amelia, who coupled up during the 2018 series and are still together, are ready for the extra attention.

"We've got to live it all again, I haven't actually watched the show back," Josh told Weekend Today hosts Bec Maddern and Richard Wilkins.

Added Amelia, "We've decided we're going to watch it as they're watching it so we can see what they're seeing."

According to Amelia, the Brits can expect to see a slightly less wild version of the show than they are used to.

"I feel like we're not as crazy as the UK season, they're all cheating everything's going on so they might think we're a bit boring," she said, before Josh added that the UK should start watching from week two for more action.

The couple also opened up about being the only relationship to survive after the show ended. Josh admitted they slowed things down to adjust to the pace of regular life and that has helped them stay together.

However, the pair has had some extra time on their hands of late because of lockdown. While they had planned to be productive home, they confessed that most of their time had been spent making Tik Tok videos.

As for whether it's time to make things official, Josh laughed off Dickie's suggestion that it's time to propose to Amelia.

"I'm getting so many messages saying it's time to put a ring on it, time to propose... we hear all sorts of things. As we said, we're not rushing it," he said.
