Trent and Alex's builds on LEGO Masters: Grand Masters of the Galaxy 2025
Trent and Alex are teaming up for the very first time on LEGO® Masters Grand Masters of the Galaxy having both been close to victory with different teammates in previous season.
Trent reached the Grand Final in Season 2 with Josh, placing third, and returned with Kale in Grand Masters, placing eighth. Alex was runner-up in Season 4 and came third in Grand Masters with LEGO partner Caleb.

Alex is a makeup artist and TAFE teacher from Sydney while Trent is an accountant who's a toy enthusiast at heart and a dedicated '80s toy collector.
Both love storytelling, humour and quirky characters.

In the Grand Finale, the teams earned the right to complete creative freedom over their builds.
With free creative reign it was up to the teams, including seasoned finale competitors Trent and Alex, to push themselves to their limit to impress 200 public voters and of course Brickman whose vote would be worth 100 points.
The teams had a whopping 28 hours to build a LEGO creation worthy of the Grand Masters of the Galaxy title. It may sound like a lot of time but with their biggest challenge ahead of them, they would be needing every second of it.

Trent and Alex's idea saw an excited puppy burst into their LEGO city, leaving a trail of destruction and making their cat very cranky.
"It is the best thing that I've ever built personally and the best thing we've ever built," Trent said.

Brickman felt this was the best final build he'd seen from both Trent and Alex, who between them had appeared in three previous finales.
He thought they'd got the 'cartoony' balance right and loved the pose of the dog.
"It's incredibly playful, almost perfect," he said.

Originally, Trent and Alex did not have a cat in their build – but after a chat from Brickman, they added it in.
It was definitely the right move, adding to "a story" as Hamish said.
Although, Brickman thought the legs of the cat could've been finessed better, believing them to look like pillars.

Even so, the build showed off Trent's character strengths and Alex's incredible eye for composition.
"She was very selective about Minifigures. About making sure they were placed for a reason, they're actually doing something, adding value to the story," Brickman said, predicting it to be a huge hit with the public voters.

Troll in the Library | Episode 10
In the semi final, our teams put on the Sorting Hat and found out their Hogwarts house!
They were transported into the world of Harry Potter, tasked with building a mystical hallway that leads to a secret door. This secret door will open to reveal something magical, surprising and thrilling from their imagination.
At the end, the builds are displayed inside a hollowed-out section of the Hogwarts Castle and filmed with an Osmo camera, starting outside the castle and continuously travelling down the hallway to the secret door at the end.
Trent and Alex were sorted into Ravenclaw, and thought a library scene was the perfect scene for the book-smart house.

There was immediate applause from all the competing teams as Trent and Alex revealed their build.
Brickman loved the duo's attention to detail noting the inclusion of mini figures to tell more of a story and that they angled everything in the hallway so people could get a better view.

The highlight of Trent and Alex's creation was the troll waiting at the end of the hallway.
The pair flexed their character building skills and it didn't go unnoticed.
"I can imagine him being a part of the Harry Potter universe," Brickman said.
"He's even got that 'I'm gonna eat you look'. It's just awesome."
Convertible | Episode 9
Hamish and Brickman decided to raise the bar with some good old movie magic for Episode 9's challenge.
Teams were tasked with building realistic-looking LEGO cars, which would then be brought to life by floor and rear projection to make it look like they were really driving.
To determine the style of their cars, teams were each assigned a different landscape: snow, desert, beach, countryside and forest.
They were then judged on how realistic their model looked and how well it fit within its landscape.
Trent and Alex were assigned the beach, so of course it was time to open up the top!
