Hamish Blake pauses production as TV-first record is broken
Hamish Blake had to bring the production of a LEGO® Masters Australia Bricktacular episode to a halt – but fear not there was an excellent reason.
“We’re gonna stop the clock because something incredible has just occurred,” Hamish announced.

“If our calculations are correct ... we have just had our first contestant in LEGO Masters history build for 500 hours!”
Hamish was, of course, referring to none other than Alex G.
She’s a standout brick builder who now holds the global franchise record for the most time spent building on set.
She’s logged over 500 hours and counting!

The master builder has appeared on four seasons of LEGO Masters including Season 4, Grand Masters, Grand Masters of the Galaxy and Bricktacular.
To celebrate Alex’s huge achievement, hosts Hamish, Ryan ‘Brickman’ McNaught and Sophie Monk performed a special ceremony.
“Please bring in the 500-hour ceremonial golden brick!” Hamish requested before Sophie walked out presenting a special golden brick.

The celebrations didn’t stop there, with Hamish adding the cherry on top.
“We will now all face the home of LEGO, Billund, in Denmark and everyone shall bow.”
All jokes aside, Alex was presented with a special certificate to mark the occasion and (non-official) world-record.
