Watch: Sam says there's 'no way the pack can outrun this lone wolf' as he closes in on the trekkers on The Summit 2024

EXCLUSIVE: The Chaser considers his job to be like a "lone wolf hunting his prey" on The Summit 2024.

Season 1 trekker Sam is back and in an exclusive video – which you can watch above – he admits he's happy with the progress he's making as he attempts to reach the Season 2 trekkers, steal one person's money and take their place on the mountain.

"I've made it to the first Checkpoint on night one, the second Checkpoint on night two and I wouldn't be surprised if I can catch them by the end of today or early tomorrow morning," he predicts.

"There's no way the pack can outrun this lone wolf."

Meanwhile, the group are also very aware of the person on their heels.

"We are being chased, no, I think we are being hunted to be honest. There is someone else coming for us and we're all a little bit nervous," Phil said.

As the group stop, Charlotte and Mat discuss how they need to pick up the pace.

"We're barely moving," Charlotte says. "The clock's ticking. We are literally on a countdown. We cannot afford to lose any time."

Sam realises he cannot be far behind them as he arrives at the last Checkpoint and finds the coals of their fire still warm.

He starts running again after barely stopping for a breath.

"The group are very close, they're within my grasp.

"I'm here to get that money and I do not care who gets sent off this mountain to make it happen."
