EXCLUSIVE: Culinary superstar Gordon Ramsay has one word to describe the tough challenges coming to his brand new series – "ruthless".
The epic series in question, Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars Australia, sizzles onto screens next Tuesday March 26 at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

In an exclusive first look – which you can watch above – Gordon explains just what to expect from the Aussie reality series, as half a million dollars is up for grabs along with two incredible mentorships.

"Thirty of Australia's best food and drink entrepreneurs have been assembled," Gordon begins.
Gordon Ramsay is looking for his next big Food Star. Nine
The world renowned chef joins business mogul Janine Allis as a mentor and guide. Their first job? To select seven hungry contestants to join each of their teams.
But it doesn't stop there...
"Once we assemble our teams, we'll go head-to-head against each other across multiple challenges," he says.
"These challenges are going to be tough because we've been given some of Australia's biggest brands to launch.
"I promise you it's going to be ruthless."

Each week, the loosing team will face Gordon and Janine in a "very tough grilling" as they fight for their place to stay in the competition.
At the end of the competition, both Gordon and Janine will face the tough decision of who to invest in.
One winning idea from each team will be crowned Australia's first Food Star and take home a cash prize to kick-start their new business.

"Half a million dollars is going to up for grabs in three weeks," Gordon announces. "Trust me, it's going to be a journey like no other."
