New data shows the Aussie favourite is more popular than ever for winter holidays.

Webjet says flight bookings are up 45 per cent on last year.

And July and August are more popular than September and October.

The Indonesian island of Bali is so popular, it accounts for one in every four international bookings, according to Webjet.

Interestingly older Aussies seem to be falling out of love with destination, with over 55s accounting for just 22 percent of bookings this busy season - down from 37 per cent last year.

It's instead drawing in Aussie families in droves, with family bookings booming by 71 per cent this year.
