It reports security staff are saying it looks like pizza cutter - which would not be allowed on a plane.
Customers have reported the strange occurrence on social media, according to reports.
"Gold and Platinum-grade frequent flyers have cited being stopped by security at Sydney, Cairns and Perth airport," the site reports.

Meanwhile, if you don't have the status, you could soon get into the fancy lounges.
Qantas is exploring a low-cost 28-day "subscription model" for entry to its renowned airport lounges.
Qantas Club memberships are currently sold as one-, two- and four-year packages, which are priced from $600 to $2000 plus a one-time joining fee of $99.
Should this new proposal move forward, new members could access certain Qantas-branded lounges for 28-day periods, with memberships auto-renewing unless they're cancelled.
