Woman who lives on cruise ship with officer husband reveals one thing she's 'not allowed' to do
A woman who lives on a cruise ship has given an insight into her life - including what she is and isn't allowed to do.
Irish woman Megan McGuinness, says her husband, Marvin, is a high-ranking officer on board a ship.
They met when she was working in another cruise ship's spa, 12 years ago.

But now, so the couple can be together, she is a full-time 'wife on board' as he does his three month cruise contracts.
Answering questions from followers on social media, she confirmed all her food and accommodation is covered.

"The only thing I pay for is my flights to and from the ship," she said.
"On board I can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, everything in between, for free."
She works as a content creator and is known as Meghan Kate on TikTok and Instagram.

Megan, who is on Holland America's Koningsdam in Alaska according to her posts, said she gets a discount on alcoholic drinks and in the shops.
As for what she can do on board, she said she gets "the best of both worlds."
She said she can go to crew areas but can also do everything guests can do. But she does have to be careful.
"Obviously you have to have a bit of common sense," she shared.

"Paying guests come first, so I'm not going to go to a packed bar and take up a table.
"I'm not allowed to go to the casino and gamble, for obvious reasons."
Megan said she can spend time with her husband when he's not working, adding she could have "breakfast, lunch and dinner" with him if she wanted to.
Megan also shared a tour of the cabin she shares with her husband.
It's surprisingly big, with a small double bed, sofa bed, desk, wardrobes and bathroom. It also has a porthole.

She said her husband's ranking on the ship - the next position he could move up to would be a staff captain followed by a captain - meant he got that large cabin.
"This is the safety officer cabin, so when Marvin goes him his counterpart moves in," she said.
They get the cabin cleaned twice a week and the bedding is changed once a week.
However, it's not the norm to get such a big place to live for cruise workers, and some have to share.
"My cabin when I was crew was definitely nothing like this," she added.
