Tassie tends to be our first choice for a domestic winter holiday, but the perfect place is actually just a touch further north.

Things to do on the Barwon Coast
Whale watching. Barwon Bluff Marine Sanctuary is one of the highest vantage points in the area - bring a warm takeaway coffee and keep your eyes peeled for migrating whales.
Bellarine Taste Trail. Explore the incredible local food and wine scene – don’t miss Jack Rabbit Vineyard and Flying Brick Cider House for a hearty winter lunch.
Adventure Park’s Winter Glow. A winter wonderland with snow play areas, ice sculpting, fire pits, and massive light installations.
Waterfront dining. At The Heads is on the pier and offers unrivalled views of the river mouth, or The Dunes has a spectacular, moody view of the surf.
Golfing. 13th Beach Golf Links hosts the Vic Open so you know it’s good. Otherwise, the historic Barwon Heads Golf Club has a heritage-listed clubhouse where you can warm up afterward.
