As the weather heats up and camping and road trip season kicks into full gear, the best campsites and caravan spots around the country have been crowned.
The 2026 Hipcamp Awards in Australia recognise the places campers have loved most over the past year.

This year’s winners span a broad range of camping experiences, including private camping on a river island, 4x4-only sites in rugged mountain terrain, family campsites on the coast, and working farm sites.
To determine the winners, Hipcamp analysed the last year of booking, rating and review data, from its network of more than 8 million users across more than 60,000 Australian campsites.
“Camping season is just getting started, so hopefully this year’s winners spark a few ideas, help campers find somewhere new, and get more people outside,” Alyssa Ravasio, CEO and Founder of Hipcamp, said.
Among this year’s winners are Willowbank in NSW, a multi-generational cattle property with private camps along the Karuah River, and Ladybug Camping in Tasmania, with creek-side campsites and cascading waterfalls.
