MATILDAS ARE OUT
The Matildas are officially out of the Olympics, after Canada only beat Colombia 1-0.
The Tillies 2-1 loss to the US meant they required results to go their way to make it through to the quarters as one of two best-placed third finishers.
New Zealand's 2-1 loss to France was the first key part one of that, but they needed Canada to lose - or to serve Colombia a four-goal hiding to make it through.
Canada won, but only 1-0.Colombia (0) and Brazil (-2) make it through with a better goal difference than Australia (-3).

Chalmers backflips on retirement
A raw interview with Kyle Chalmers after winning gold.
An Aussie champion - he confirms he now has no plans to retire from Olympic swimming.
"This is not my last individual. I'm not retiring any time soon. I love it," he says.
"I think I'll continue on as long as I possibly can. But this race does mean a lot to me. It is really special.
"I am probably just lost for words with it really. I think coming in, really, having three guys having a faster PB with me and being able to stay controlled and calm and no the pressure and expectation is so much on me, but I'm really, really stoked with that. Yeah, I don't know what else to say. It is amazing. I'm very, very honoured."
